you need a mover with CT, Timeless Hourglass helps
and for the hand slug..believe me its all about practice, the first time i tried it i thought i could never do it...if it helps, when i killed him without Mizell i found out that it is a lot better not to wait for the "perfect" start position of the cannons, just start right away, after the first s/l they will always move in the same pattern at the beginning and after a few tries you get used to it and it gets a lot easier

How does a triple pincer work on Shine? And how does it keep the staves from screwing you up?

triple pincer in the very first move, so you dont have to waste a tap buff to kill the staves, normal double pincer in the 3rd round to kill shine with PP, easiest method to farm him i believe

So first round, triple pincer on boss, you're out of range off the Staves' AoE.
2nd round what happens? staves don't AoE? Thanks!

Always interested in different ways, but I get a consistent 3rd Round kill right now with staves dying in first round.
Seems like skipping the staves may be more beneficial when you're on the ragged edge of "just enough" DPS?

ah sorry, triple pincer is a bit missleading - you do 2 seperate pincers on the staves, just like you see in every video of shine, you just do a pincer on the boss first, to get an extra 150% atk buff on snaip/macuri and with that extra buff (additional pincer) you dont have to tap in the first round to kill the staves

btw i dont think this is really necessary if you have gugba and kill him in the third round with a PP, you have so much overdmg that 5 taps are more than enough..i just started doing the triple pincer and it became my routine while farming him

Ah now I understand, I just wasn't getting the triple pincer to activate Mac and Snaip, that makes sense... sadly, I'm a butterfinger/slow finger guy, so I'm lucky to get the team lined up for the staff pincer with Miz and her +2CT...

believe me, if you do it a 100 times in a row it doesnt matter what kind of fingers you have, i hardly had to watch the screen in the end :p

Tsukeyo's advice on triple pincer seems like it's only for people with mizel

If you're depending on golem o2 to destroy kinetic traps on 2nd turn then you should not even consider trying a triple pincer on first turn. If you could accomplish that then you could do the whole event without golem o2, thus you could put in more firepower than golem, etc...

    Finally I got a Shin'en λ 3-Turns kill + 100%-Capture with following team :
    1. Yukken λ -- Negociator + Celestial Envoy
    2. S'naip -- Celestial Envoy
    3. Ma'curi -- Celestial Envoy
    4. Gatz λ -- Celestial Envoy
    5. Schweiz, main mover -- Celestial Envoy
    6. Mizell, kinetic destroyer + first mover -- Mizell O

    Turn 1
No tap + triple pincer initiated on Shin'en λ
    1. Shin'en λ : Mizell / Yukken λ 2. Left staff : Ma'curi / Schweiz 3. Right staff : S'naip / Gatz λ
=> Staves must be killed on turn 1

    Turn 2
No tap + horizontal double pincer on Shin'en λ
=> PP must appear at end turn 2

    Turn 3
    6 taps + PP + double pincer
    => Shin'en 100% captured :)

    Great inspiration @another, thx :)

I will try to make a vid if my old iPad leaves me do. A video illustrating the pattern :

I got shine finally with the kraken otomo with timeless hourglass, with gatz zuoh both with ce, and Mac and SSnaip with Ragnarok, then palpa with heal otomo.

With release of ZAmina, her otomo is also a kinetic trap ward, with her CT+2 equipped and her heals. It made the fight easier, but still not quite farmable since I don't have gugba for the third turn pp. Maybe I'll try the triple pincer method later.

you can make exactly the same run but replacing Mac w Camellia /\ (for extra 100 L) and switch Suoh /\ for Mac (All w CE except fot Schweiz, i gave him a Kiss Bottle and Mizell w otomo :p), thats how i got Shin en to 100 L ;)
EDIT- Oh wait, i had Snaip /\, not regular Snaip sorry ^^u

Been doing mutoh farming and something confuse me.
    My team
    Edglow
    Sayu
    Gegoz with Levi/heal
Schweiz only for tap and kiss bottle
    Myne
    Peyrna
    5 unit equip with z dragons m@x
This team able to beat mutoh with triple pincer.
But when I decide to switch Schweiz out for gatz . He pretty much do the same job as Schweiz to try and neg mutoh at end with tap and also have Levi all. This way gego can drop Levi all for mag atk plus.
I expected this change up will give me more dmg but in the end mutoh still have 200k HP after triple pincer.
    Why?

Lol gatz doesnt have augment magic that schweiz does. You will need to magic trappers out of peyrna, schweiz and mizell^.
