    tl;dr version of the post:
    I know what you all are thinking right now: "Silver, 2015 is almost over, why did you translate your Bahamut guide?"... well, the answer is simple: believe it or not, in 21st Century not everybody knows Italian ( :eek: <-- your face right now). So, here I am, writing a guide for a year old stage nobody will probably read... but enough with chitchat let's talk about Baha! [Click here to read the ITA version]

    Bahamut is a powerful S class Fire Mage recruitable by defeating him in the event dungeons "Bahamut Descended", "Bahamut Evolved" or "Bahamut Ultra" accessible from the Arena.

    Like as Leviathan, Odin and few others, is possible to face this adventurer only in few moments decided by Mistwalker (this means nobody know for sure when this will happen, you just have to wait for him to show up in Arena). You can read here if his return is planned to happen soon.

    As you can read from the official Terra Battle news section, Bahamut was in Arena from-to:
    • 24 October – 26 October 2014
    • 31 October – 2 November 2014
    • 26 December 2014 – 5 January 2015
    • 26 February – 4 March 2015
    • 4 June – 10 June 2015
    • 3 September – 9 September 2015
    • 28 December 2015 – 11 January 2016
    • 14 April 2016 – 27 April 2016
    • 18 July 2016 – 28 July 2016
    So, in average, he comes back once (for 5-10 days) every 2-3 months, awarding EVERY player with 3 Energy few hours after the event starts :happy:
    The event grants everybody the access to 3 stages, all composed of 4 battles and a Boss fight against Bahamut: the first one, "Bahamut Descended", can be easily done even by greenies and allows only to recruit the basic unit (which is precisely Bahamut) while the 2 remaining levels ("Bahamut Evolved" and "Bahamut Ultra") are high level stages needed for unlocking his other jobs, as well for recruiting the material unit Suzaku needed for recoding Bahamut in the Z class Bahamut Λ.

    The first two levels are easy enough to be completed without a guide, but in case you need a little help keep on reading, I wrote this guide for you :)

    Without considering this long preface, the guide will be composed of 4 more sections:
    • The post #2 contains a summary of the most important information about Bahamut;
    • The post #3 is dedicated to the stage "Bahamut Descended";
    • The post #4 is dedicated to the stage "Bahamut Evolved";
    • The post #5 is dedicated to the stage "Bahamut Ultra";

    Further you'll read phrases like "in case you didn't already recruit Bahamut"; I remind you that Bahamut and Bahamut Λ are considered by the game as 2 distinct units and that after the "DNA Recoding" operation (available only after completing chapter 20) will be as you never had with you the unit Bahamut or the items Caladbolg or Caladcholg.

    Bahamut Descend

    Bahamut Evolved
    In case you already recruited Bahamut:

    Bahamut Ultra
    In case you already recruited Bahamut:
    In case you already unlocked Bahamut's job #2 or have the item Caladbolg in your inventory:
    In case you already unlocked Bahamut's job #3 or have the item Caladcholg in your inventory:

    Bahamut Λ and Suzaku

    For recoding Bahamut ("evolving" him in Bahamut Λ) you need to consume both the material units Mantledrake, farmable in chapter 7-10, and Suzaku, which can only be found in "Bahamut Evolved" or "Bahamut Ultra" event dungeons;
    • In 'Bahamut Evolved' is possible to fight 8 Suzaku; the catch rate for each of them is 3,2%.
    • In 'Bahamut Ultra' there are 7 Suzaku; the catch rate for each of them is a mere 0,2%.
    Like as every other monster in Terra Battle is not possible to recruit more than 1 Suzaku per stage and every catch next the first one will increase his SB by 5%.

    Since only 20% of the material units' SB is transferred to the recoded unit, I don't suggest you farming more than 1 Suzaku in "Bahamut Evolved": assuming a 100% catch rate for the stage (read the content of the next 'spoiler' tag), 25 Stamina can be spent for increasing Bahamut's SB by 5 * 0,2 = 1%, while running "Bahamut Ultra" allows you not only to increase his SB by 3%, but to recruit a Suzaku too (even if the chances are low).

    A fully boosted Mantledrake can be used to increase Bahamut Λ's SB by 20%.

    You can read more about the Recode DNA operation here.

    Is possible to increase the drop rate of the items Caladbolg and Caladcholg (50% base) by 12,5% for every unit equipped with the passive skill Treasure Hunter; I delegate the explanation on how this skill works to the wiki, which also contains an always up to date list of all units able to Equip it - [Treasure Hunter on terrabattle.wikia.com]

    Bahamut's recruit chances (20%, 40% and 100% in case you don't have him already, 30% in his third dungeon in case you already have everything you need) can be increased through the skills which procs on chain (a Powered Point might be of help) Negotiator (+recruit rate x2) and Pro Negotiator (+recruit rate x8) when dealing the final blow. I remind you that starting from patch 2.9.0 is no more possible to increase the recruit chance over 18 times, the equivalent of 2 Pro Negotiator and 1 Negotiator, so Suzaku's catch rate in Bahamut Evolved (3,2% base) becomes:
    • 9,6% with 1 Negotiator;
    • 28,8% with 1 Pro Negotiator;
    • 35,2% with 1 Negotiator and 1 Pro Negotiator;
    • 54,4% with 2 Pro Negotiator;
    • 60,8% with 1 Negotiator and 2 Pro Negotiator (or more);
    In case you don't have any Negotiator ability (and don't know much about combinatorial analysis), the 8 Suzaku located in the stage "Bahamut Evolved" (without considering the eventual reinforcements summoned by Neo Bahamut) grants you a 1 - (1 - 3.2%) ^ 8 = 22.91% recruit chance for each run.

    For more information about I send you to this thread [Guide] How Negotiator (Pro) and Treasure Hunter Works: if you have questions to ask about these two skills post them there.

    Among the 3, the "Bahamut Descended" dungeon is obviously the easiest one.

    The stage's difficulty is 25, so a Level 20 (or higher) team is required; in case is needed you can increase your weaker units level on Metal Zone 1, which opens for 2 hours in different times of the day (you find here the opening schedules).

    A specific team for this dungeon doesn't exist, all you need to know is that:
    • Ice units deal double damage to Fire attribute enemies; bring few units of this element (scroll down a bit for the list) and/or Companions capable to cast ice skills for making your life a lot easier. Remember that physical units like Bahl and Grace are not able to deal strong magic damages, so equip Otomos like Icestorm Wand and Glacial Wand to units with a good magical attack parameter, like Zenzoze, Kuscah or Healer. You can find these 2 Companions on Leviathan Descended and Evolved, if they are in Arena (same drop rate as Blazing Wand and Inferno Rod from Bahamut).
    • Companions like Fire Visor and Fire Helmet might be useful in case some of your units have a lower level than 20.
    • If you already completed Chapter 4 (most likely) you probably read about capsules; some adventurers like Gigojago are able to generate items which allow, when chained to units leading a pincer attack, to reduce fire damage dealt to ALL your units by 10% for 6 turns (read "turn the capsule was activated + 5 more"). Is possible to keep on the field up to 5 unused capsules and activate them all in the same turn.

    The units I suggest you using are:
    • A healer: Kuscah and Sorman are 2 exceptional B classes, but since not everybody is so lucky to be able to count on them I think the C class unit Healer and her stronger alternative, Regenercell, are your only hope. The A class Kana, even not being a true "white mage" is another valuable addition.
    • All the Ice units you can find; the B class adventurers U’nasag and Gigojago will make the fight a joke, while the A class A'merpact is MVP here: Fire damage reduction on his first job, an high MATK parameter and the ability to generate anti-Fire capsules. Useless to say here the SS class unit Piz’fer reigns supreme.
    • All the physical Damage Dealers you can find. Fall in this category Bahl, Grace, Zan and Zenzoze (and many more obviously). The "A" classes Velraine and Maralme deal an extra damage to dragons of 20, 30 and 50% depending if they are using their first, second or third job.
    • I advise against using units like Mage (Ice) (and his Lizardfolk/Beastfolk/Stonefolk counterpart); even if these units deal twice the damage to this dungeons monster, C class mages stats and skills are all but good, and unless you have them highly boosted you'll find a physical unit much more useful :)
    • There's no need for a character capable to cast/equip Levitation, but if Soma's mud trail is giving you problems, Eileen, Zafitte, Gatz and Gegonago might be of help.
    In case you have troubles getting through the 4 floors that come before the boss room I highly advise you to give up and to try again facing Bahamut after increasing your units level by 3 or 4 points; these are some easy fights that don't require a specific guide, the screenshots provided with the enemies position, their stats and skills are more than enough help.

    Bahamut is not hard to take down, all you'll need to do is to fight him as you do with any other boss: defeat his minions first and then focus exclusively on him, double pincering him each turn by positioning 2 units to his right and 2 on his left and 2 units above him and 2 below on the next turn: this allows you to damage him 2 times per turn, costantly avoiding his Column and Row skills that he alternates. In case you got hit remember move your healer from a chain to another for making sure that the HP of all your units stay high.

    An alternative tactic consists of not immediately defeat the 2 Fell Drake and the 2 Soma who come with him, but to damage one of his minions at alternate turns: every time one of them takes some damage (this also applies to AoE, like Megabow Area[1] ), Bahamut will temporary interrupt his attack pattern and start to shine, sign he's preparing to cast, on next turn, the powerful fire skill Meteor (strong as 2 Fire) that will randomly damage all your units.

    Since the vast majority of the 24 meteors will miss your units, you can avoid thinking about it and focus on the fight (there are times a same unit got hit 5 times in the same turn, that is called bad luck...), just remember to leave on the field as many Anti-Fire Capsules as you can, chaining them only when he starts to "shine" (this assuming you'll evade any other attack). Also, remember to keep your team's HP high!

    During the fight, when he is not busy summoning Meteor, Bahamut alternates Fire/Fiery Breath (Column) and Fiery Breath/Fire (Row - the one he didn't cast before), so with a bit of attention you'll manage to set up your units laterally or vertically and prevent any damage.

    In few minutes you should be able to get the victory and, with a bit of luck, a new and powerful ally ^-^

    Since "Bahamut Evolved" is a dungeon with a difficulty level of 45 from now on I assume you already assimilated TB basics (this will save me a lot of explanation).

    In case you rushed the first 40-50 levels (Metal Zone) and have no real experience with Terra Battle I suggest you to take a look at the suggested units I listed in the previous post, just for your interest.

    This time reaching floor #5 will require a bit more skills, not because of the higher difficulty level, but because the Ambrosia enemies (the trees) are capable to confuse a random ally (positioned anywhere on the map), give the priority to them.
    • The "Confuse" status can be healed from units like R'zonand (suggested), Kana or Palpa. In the absence of the skill "Clarity", Zafitte's, Eileen's and Gatz's "Panacea" works like a charm, same for Sheena's "Cleansing Caper".
    • Faerie's Talisman and Faerie's Buckler Otomos give the wielder immunity/increase resistance from confusion debuff, you may want to give one to your favourite unit while protecting the remaining characters with Fire Shield or something; don't worry if you don't have these Companions, they are just an optional convenience.
    • Avoid to bring with you elemental units with an attribute different from Ice: Neo Bahamut cancels the damage taken from Fire attacks and reduce by 40% Lightning and Darkness one.

    Don't mind Golden Runners that can randomly spawn on floors 2-4 (the one from Metal Zones), they are here only to bug you.

    2nd, 4th and 5th floors you'll find 7 Suzaku, fire birds needed for evolving Bahamut in Bahamut Λ: having one in your bench might come in handy (on the contrary, Kujata, the horse, even if recruitable is totally useless), but don't make this a priority.

    On the contrary of what happens on the "level 25" dungeon, here Neo Bahamut won't cast Meteor every time one of his minions get damaged, but only once (with power MATK x3) when his HP reaches the 16.000 mark (around half life), while using – in order – Inferno (1 Column), Inferno (3 Columns), Inferno (1 Row) and Inferno (3 Rows), then starting all over again.

    1 Column/Row means that Neo Bahamut will hit with Inferno (strong as 2 Fire skills) all the units positioned on his same column/row (I remind you that bosses have a 2x2 size, so it is better saying he is capable to cast a 2 Columns/Rows skill); 3 Columns/Rows obviously means that the 2 adjacent rows/column will be damaged too, succeeding this time to damage the units who pincered him on the previous turn.

    Give obvisouly the priority to the units who accompany him, especially to Kujatas, since they are capable to heal your opponents! Occasionally (only once?) Neo Bahamut might summon 3 Fell Drakes to fight at his side: quickly take care of them and go back dealing with the boss; as for "Bahamut Descended", the victory here is just matter of time, few minutes of fight or few more levels and this Dungeon won't be nothing more than a memory.[/QUOTE]

    Finally came writing about "Bahamut Ultra", the level 65 dungeon.

    Since an high level dungeon requires at least a bit of experience playing TB I guess I can shorten several explanations:

    Suggested Companions:
    • Maxed Fire/Scorching Shield, for reducing as much as possible the fire damage received (stackable 20/30%). I advise against using an Infernal Shield, which offers a fixed 40% damage reduction (with a couple activations, a Scorching Shield gives a 60% protection); Mystical Shield (stackable MDEF+10%) and Shadowy Rod (HP+20%) are still good alternatives, even if less effective.
    • Give Glacial Wand/Blizzard Rod (Ice/Glacial skills) to your mages for dealing extra damage; obviously Arctic Spirit, Staff of Poseidon and so on are always welcome.
    • In case you don't have an healing unit able to cast the ability Heal All, an Healing Wand/Rod (Mega/Giga Heal) might come in handy.
    • The Bewitching Bow (stackable MATK +10%), is another useful Companion for your Ice unit(s).

    EDIT: After version 4.0.0 introduced a lower 30% cap on debuffs (instead of the previous value "1"), the following method is no more considered a reliable way to defeat Bahamut.

    I tell you this before the main strategy: if you have the B class Grace you're all set.

    On third job/lv65, Grace learns the "Defense -20% (Dragons)" debuff, which allows to (you don't say?) reduce the physical defense of ALL THE DRAGON-TYPE ENEMIES ON THE FLOOR by 20% ...and the effect can be stacked more times!

    20% * 5 makes 100% (duh), so triggering this skill 5 times in 2 turns (usually 3 times, if not 4, during the first turn and 1 or 2 more on the second) will result in a "Defense -100%" debuff for Bahamut Omega, allowing you to take him down even before he could think to cast his powerful Meteor.

    After patch 3.0.0 is no more possible to reduce a stat to 0 (the lower limit is now 1), not allowing anymore to deal an infinite damage; the trick I'm going to show you still works, but now you need to use a bit more of brute force for delivering the final blow to Bahamut Omega.

    As I mentioned you earlier, in case the unit Grace is not part of your roster, you can try positioning the unit Red Starwhip (farmable on stages 7-7, 7-8, 9-3 and 9-4) near Bahamut and trigger its "Magic Defense -20%, Area (1)" skill 3 times during the first turn (double pincering him during the next one), but since he will move unpredictably as soon as you step on 5th floor (and RSW must be positioned near his target) this method is a bit harder and might not work all the times.

    For taking the most from (de)buffs I remind you that horyzontal pincers have the priority, followed by vertical ones and then by corners; units positioned on the left side of the screen act before those on the right side and units placed on bottom proc their skills before those placed on top (on corners is valid the opposite), but let's see a practical example:

    [4] X X [5]
    [1] X X [2]
    X
    [3]

    Indicating with the first 4 X a 2x2 Boss, with a fifth X a normal monster, with [1] the unit you just moved (which, I remember you, attacks in any direction before the remaining units follow the order I listed a moment ago) - let's say is a physical unit like S'naip, equipped with the Area of Effect skill Tail Spin – and with [4] the unit Grace, with Defense -20% (Dragons) debuff and the AoE Megabow and Poison Arrows:
    • S'naip and [2] attack first, allowing Grace [4], positioned in his same column, to trigger – in order, after their attacks – Defense -20% ([de]buffs always proc before any skill, but after the "standard" attack) and the 2 AoE.
    • Follows at this point the vertical pincer attack with [3] ( [1], the moved unit, has the priority on [4] and [5], even if they are positioned horizontally), triggering Grace's debuff a second time.
    • Is finally time for [4] (Grace) and [5] to attack; since she's positioned on the left side of the screen, Grace will open the dances with Defense -20% before she, [5], [1] or [2] have time to cast any skill dealing at least a physcal attack from Grace, one from [5], Megabow and Poison Arrows (Grace) and, dulcis in fundo, Tail Spin of S'naip [1] under the effect of a cumulative Defense -60%.
    In case the boss had been previously hit by 2 Defense -20% this would have meant for him to undergo at least 5 attacks under the effect on a DEF-100% debuff (Defense = 1), and therefore certain death, even if he would have 2x Bahamut Omega's HP.

    The same trick works even replacing Grace [4] with Red Stawship (capable to reduce the Magic Defense of nearby units by 20%) and S'naip [1] with a magic unit like A'merpact.

    In case Grace/Red Starwhip has a lower SB than 70% (value which corresponds to a certain activation for skills with a 30% proc rate) I suggest you to charge a Powered Point before entering the Boss room.

    In case you want to defeat Bahamut Omega relying only on your own strength, a few extra information might come you in handy:

    Capsules here are a MUST: bring at least one from Gigojago, A'merpact, C'zekras (doesn't have capsules though), Piz'fer and Piz'fer Λ or you'll suffer a lot.

    Fire element attacks will heal Bahamut, while Lightning and Darkness skills won't damage him at all.

    Obviously after patch 2.5.0 increased the level cap to 90 this dungeon became much easier: in case you are having some problems beating it, play first a dozen of 20-1 or Chaos II and try again on the next day.

    Stepped on fifth floor, Bahamut Omega will greet you removing the effects of any (eventual) Anti-Fire protection previously activated, reason why is suggested to reach the boss room leaving on the floor as more Capsules as possible; I remind you that after the application "crashes" ( :angelic: ) all the capsules currently on the field will disappear.

    Starting from the next turn, as usual, Bahamut Omega will follow a precise attack pattern, using in order:
    • Solar Wind Breath, 1 Column
    • Supernova Breath, 1 Row
    • { Removes any fire element resistance from all your units }
    • Solar Wind, 1 Row
    • Solar Wind, 3 Rows
    • { Removes any fire element resistance from all your units }
    Starting all over again; also, once he reached a certain HP mark he will temporary interrupt his default attacks scheme in favour of another:
    • 105.000 PV (~80%)
      • The shadow of an approaching Meteor looms, you have 1 turn to shelter from the 2 Meteor he'll summon on his next turn.
    • 78.000 PV (~60%)
      • Calls reinforcements (3 Fell Drake Redux) and hits the nearby units with Breath Attack [Area (1), x1.5 ATK], moving them 1 cell away from him.
    • 65.000 PV (~50%)
      • He gets ready to cast a second Meteor storm; you'll get hit by 2 Meteor on next turn.
    • 39.000 PV (~30%)
      • Calls reinforcements and hits one more time with Breath Attack, Area (1).
    • 26.000 PV (~20%)
      • He prepares to cast a third Meteor shower; on next turn he will attack with 3 Meteor;
      • On the turn that follows the 3 Meteor he will eliminate every resistance from Fire element and hit all the units positioned on his same Row and Column with Supernova Breath, Cross (All).

    The strategy to use here is almost the same used for dealing with Neo Bahamut: quickly defeat the enemies that accompany Bahamut Ultra and beat the sh*t out of him.
    Make sure to double pincer the boss each turn for keeping your Anti-Fire effects (from Companions/Capsules) active all the time for a 40-100% damage reduction; in case your units are too weak to take off 10-20% HP to Bahamut each turn, try to leave as more Capsules as you can on the ground, using them EXCLUSIVELY before he summons Meteor.
