This is partial original (75%) & partial English version summary translated from several Chinese guides (25%). It contains personal opinion and subject to changes. If they were replaceable by a lower grade character, it is more economical to do so. DPSer: Damage dealer, the most ideal pure DPSer is the olny with attack skills & attack damage increase. Healer: Recover damage/revive fallen units, becuase of S/L, revival is unnecessary, the current most ideal healer is the one with healing skills & utilities Utility: Who doesn't fall in to the above 2 groups. It is a plus for any character who can fill in more than 1 role, indeed, the best character to look for is someone who can self-sustain, can deal decent amount of damage with some utilities. A good team usually consist of 3-4 DPSer, 1 main healer, 0-1 utility & 0-1 sub healer + situational needs DPSers need to be balanced between elemental & physical. A good team should have no more than 3 melee due to difficulty of positioning & skill activation restriction. Both are point based and so both have similar functionality. The idea to have both is to provide you a less subjective rating guide. Star based rating: This rating provides you the technical part of the character. (In field, more subjective, based on how well all skills work together and etc.) Point based rating: This rating provides you the fundamental part of the character. (More details & objective) Skill-wise: 1 point for Regen 2 points for lowest tier attack/spell & Giga Regn 3 points for mid tier attack/spell & Tera Regen 4 points for highest tier attack/spell 1 point for basic stat boost (+10% atk,hp, 5% adjacent) 2 points for uncommon stat boost (+20% atk,hp, or 10% adjacent) 1 point for each special skill (Capsule, Ward, Guard, Shield, Ally/Party/One-Time Revival, Disarm/Build Bomb, Damage down 10%, Counter) 2 points for each uncommon special skill (Counter, Guard,Shield Adjacent, Control time+2, Heal*1.5, Major Ally Revival, Dual Revival, Avalanche, Outflank, Negotiator, Damage down 20%) 3 points for each unique skill (Control time+3, Added Action Time, life leech, Death, Fancy footwork, Evasive Arts, Heal all, Negotiator Pro) 4 points for each great unique skill (Sacrifice, Powered Point Amp, Tremor, Panacea) Character-wise: -1 point for being melee +1 point for being mage DPSer +1 point for filling 2 roles heal & dps +1 point for filling 3rd roles heal & dps & utility +1 point for AOE Name of different skills (Strength in order ) Physical Damage/Healing：Tera > Giga > Mega Lightning：Tempest > Lightning > Thunder Fire：Solar Wind > Inferno >Fire Ice: Absolute Zero > Glacier > Ice Dark: Dark Matter > Abyss > Shadow Great skills to look for: Since we can only 6 slots, for our utility slot, it is our best interest to have 1 character who has more than 1 of the following skills. Panacea, Area: cleanse all negative status. Levitation: lift your units, ignore all ground effect. Add action time: delay enemy action by 1 turn. (does not work against bosses) Powered point amp: increases power point gain rate. Control time: increases your time to move your character by 2~3 seconds. Ranking: Best physical damage dealer: Gugba Best elemental damage dealer: Any of the 4 SS mages Best tank: Olber Best Healer: Amimari Healers: Basically, the B grade healers can be nearly as good as the SS grade healers. Revival is not needed because of S/L. Unlike DPSers, overheal provides no benefit and so better stats from SS is also not needed. Also, there is a cap of the amount you can heal. Overall it is unnecessary to specifically roll for a SS healer. If you can read Chinese, you may go read the original comment about it. http://forum.gamer.com.tw/C.php?bsn=26621&snA=170&tnum=69 Comparison between all 3 Healers: Amimari > A'misandra > Amina Amimari is currently the best healer because she can take both roles, offensive and defensive. Also, control time works better on melee role than support role. Amina & Sheena both have giga heal, while Amimari doesnt. Considering tera heals 2500, very often you will end up overhealing with giga heal. However, if they decide to raise level cap or hp of each character, Amina might become the best healer, as long as the increase is over 1500+. http://terrabattleforum.com/threads/amimari-vs-amina-who-is-better.419/ You need at least 1 of them. Amina: Can be replaced by B grade, economically. Party revival is bad because revival only revive your fallen unit in the next wave. If you have already lost 5 members and only 1 healer left, you lost already. ** 6 + 7 + 8 = 21 Amimari: Versatile healer & DPSer. Control time works only on initiator on equip, so it is an advantage to initiate with Amimari since she is melee & has attack skills. **** 6 + 8 + 9 + 1 - 1 = 23 A'misandra: Death ward & prevent enemy from healing, but she doesnt have control time, a huge drawback compared to other healers. *** 6 + 6 + 8= 20 Physical Melee/Range: Olber > Gugba > Twins Olber is currently the best tank. With him, you need not worry about physical damage. He also has high sustain & high physical damage output. Gugba is currently the best physical melee DPSer, with 5 attack skills & buffs. His entire map attack skill is also stunning (very stunning) once you hit 100% skill boost. The twins are very bad, even for starters, better avoid or reroll if you got them. Sheena is a new SS, she can cleanse all negative effect & heals the damage she inflicts with her last skill. You are recommended to have at least 1 of them for physical damage. Olber is a physical melee who can deal dps & heal & utility, 3 roles on 1 character. His signature skill is Self-sacrifice, which allows him to take all physical damages landed on his allies. He is too good as a tank. ***** 7 + 9 + 10 + 1 + 1 - 1 = 27 Gugba is perhaps the best physical DPS monster, just look at his physical damage, once he hits 100% skill boost, his damage will become unstoppable. However, he is also a super late game hero, not recommended for new starter. ***** 6 + 9 + 11 - 1 = 25 7 + 11 + 11 - 1 + 1 = 29 The twins are jack in all trades, nothing good, nothing bad and nothing special. *** Also, if you are purely focusing on DPS-wise, the grade A S'naip can out damage them. 7 + 9 + 11 - 1 = 26 Sheena: New SS can be drew from coins. She can fill all 3 roles, dps & heal & utility. Max hp is a little bit low only 3609 compared to the highest hp Gugba 4790. However, she can bring in more utility and heal to the team. Only use her if you think cleanse is needed, otherwise there are other better characters. ***** 7 + 10 + 8 - 1 +1 + 1= 26 Elemental melee/range: Czekras = KoKo = Samatha >> Gaiga Czekras works better against small mobs with his delay action ability while KoKo is so tanky & with her life leech that she can stand alone against any boss. Samatha has 6 attack skills, one of the higher DPSers. Gaiga is currently replaceable by a S grade, not recommended for using. You are recommended to have 0-1 of them. Koko: High self sustain ability with life leech, and second highest hp character in game. **** 7 + 8 + 8 -1 = 22 Czekras: Job 3 last skill delays mob action makes him unique. However, it only works against mobs. **** 7 + 9 + 8 - 1= 23 Samatha: Physical + elemental dpser, very versatile. She can have 6 attack skills, which makes her one of the higher DPSers in game. Fundamentally, she looks good but technically, she is a meh. Why? If you have a diversified team (phy. & ele.) her advantage is minimized. She has 6 attack skills but she simply lacks of uniqueness to become the irreplaceable character in an ideal team. *** 8 + 8 + 8 - 1 = 23 Gaiga: Death ward & Death, not very useful at this stage but has high potential. As for now, Sha'plar an S grade character is slightly better than this SS. Sha'plar can deal more DPS than her and has better utility.** 6 + 9 + 7 - 1 = 21 Elemental Mages: The best of the best SS characters. Their DPS can outclass anyone. Great AOE damage in any situation, unrestricted by positioning. Basically they are all ***** without doubt. Mages are not only great for early game (AOE damage), they are also strong late game (once you hit skill boost 100%, since they have 4 low pop skills, they will be 100% pop all time and become unstoppable.) 6 + 7 + 10 + 1 + 1 = 25 You are recommended to have 2-3 of them.
